Why bothering to play Sonic on an emulator?
Just get the Sonic collection for DS and you're done (whether ROM or Card)
Use this to play other Genesis Games like MoonWalker, Phantasy Star...!

they should add a version where the game fits the whole screen and none of the parts are cut off

It won't read Sonic 3 and Knuckles for me. I have tried 8 different verisons of it. I think it has something to do with the fact the physical cartridge is one attached to another. Has anyone got that working? Also can you scale the game horizontally?

what files does it read? im trying to get it to work, but it cant seem to read my .smd file

SMD sounds like Sega Mega Drive, which is what they called it everywhere besides america, so I'm guessing it's the same format, just named differently, try naming them to .bin
Also, you can always just download more, it's not difficult to download Genesis Roms at all.

Great emulator, but I want to know what It's running on... R4? M3? I want something that can run Jenesis DS. The only Genesis emulator my Max Media Dock can run is the slow, silent PicoDrive DS 0.1.6 T_T

It can be run on pretty much any newer card. Acekard 2's for example are very cheap, and will run any homebrew. So, if it's that important to you, I'd just upgrade.
