I like your choice of word "greatness" to describe the film. I watch the film every ANZAC Day each year - Australia's memorial day and named after the Aussies who fought and died in the Gallipoli campaign.
That's true. Well, since not everyone has the ability to see things as we do, I wanted to leave it up to him to discover the greatness of "Gallipoli". But now that i found a "supporter" in you , i can express it clearly: People it is strongly recommended that you watch this movie ! :) Peace
You are "mostly" correct, this lovely piece is was indeed composed in 1958 by Giazotto, and it is classified as "Neo-Baroque". Yet, it appears to have been based on fragments from a slow movement of an Albinoni trio sonata he had been sent by the Dresden State Library (between 1715-1723)
Maybe you need to be way more informed before trying to act smart. Adagio in g-minor was written by Remo Giazotto in 1958 and is neobaroque piece. You may consider hearing some of Albinoni's stuff like concertos op.7 or op.9 and you will see how different the style is. I'm not saying Albinoni was less sentimental, but this is definately not his or baroque style. There is no basso continuo which means it couldn't be baroque, way too much rubato and tempo is way too slow.Read someth about Albinoni

Maybe you need to hear more classic music and less pop music like Jacko and Britney Spears
