Sorry I can't read through all the posts to see if someone else has the same comment.
As a married man, I have the privilege of never having to clean the bathroom. In consideration of my wife, therefore, even if I only have to pee, I do it sitting down. That's not because I "miss the target." But water on water splashes, and it does mess up the floor, and I don't want my wife having to clean up something that can be avoided.

I once fell into the toilet because my father forgot to put the seat down. It was really disgusting and I would think it would have become a habit putting the seat down by now. It never crossed my mind to check before I sat down.
