This shows two things 1.how you can be awesome at any kit if you have skills. 2. That Roland has good sounding drumkit's even in their cheaper/lite series. I played on an HD 1 once, it's a nice kit, It plays pretty nice especially for it's size. Two things I think Roland did wrong on it, is the bass drum pedal (it sucks) and the single zone snare pad (no rimshots or cross-sticking, you have to use one tompad for that). I suggest spending a little more on the td 4 or td 9 (td 9 is awesome!)

@jonguitarist You're right. My music school has 2 of these and the pedals broke within a year on both. And students there are not hooligans so they treat the set as if it were theirs. I mean seriously, buying this kist would be a waste of $600. You wouldn't be saving anything!!!
