Saw the HL at Eric's in Liverpool in 1979 after following the punk movement. Really different to the usual bands though great. Also loved their pop records on Dare.

what a truly wonderful band - I feel very luck to have been born in 1969 and been a teen during HL's prime - the greatest british electro synth band from late 70's to early 80's. fookin sublime. thank you thank you

Blimey, I can't imagine what effect this had on the audience in 1978. Stunned silence and "that's not music". The opening sounds awesome.
