I think it's extra poignant in that this was not a coach leading by example; he's putting up his flaws, mistakes and failures for all to see, and reminding them to not have regrets or end up like him, not just for this game but in life.

Had a coach who spoke in a whisper. Everything was spoke as if he was talking in a church. We were down and getting man handled in a national televised game. At half time he came in and yelled for the first time anyone had ever seen. The effect was dramatic. We tore the skin off the other team, if he had said we could run threw a brick wall we would have.The lesson?Yelling only works if you don't yell all the time. Most coaches don't get that.
