i just noticed the other comments hating on off leashing sibe's . I feel sorry for those siberian huskies that dont get to experience running off leash running at full speed. i used to be worried that he would never come back but he always does no matter how far he goes. check my video you'll see. I hate walking him on leash, im always off leashing him. It feels wrong for a breed that thrives on running to be limited to a 4 foot leash haha.

@lkhill87 would love to see these other video's now Inca is older. Seeing as you never posted the videos I'm guessing you can't safely let Inca off the lead anymore.......or worse still..she ran away?
I have a 5 month old Sibe, male, I let off the lead at this age, same as your video here. I'm just wondering for how long will I be able to do so, I'm not judging you, I bump into Sibe's and Malamutes off the lead all the time on the beaches where I live in Wales.

i think its terrible what some people are writing on this video, if you are confident about letting Inca off the lead to have the space to run for a while each day you should do it!!! I would love to be able to let my dog off the lead, but he chases cars, so im not sure i should take the risk untill im sertain he will walk along side me. Dont let people who think they know everything put you off by saying your selfish ect, just because shes a sibe doesnt mean shes aggresive... good video x

HATE when people say you cant let a husky off the lead. HATE when people say things like "If you are willing to think you know best and that your sibe is different BLA BLA BLA" if u live in fear every day that ur husky is going to run away then its no wonder it happens. spend more time training your dog instead of going on like u know best on other peoples videos you fools. if YOUR dog runs away thats YOUR problem!! i know professional husky racers whos dogs are off leads every day!! good video.

I take my 2 year old Husky to a quiet country wood, I let him off the lead and he recalls perfect EVERY time! He doesn't feel like he's been walked if he's not let of the lead. You guys are doing a great job, keep it up. If only more people walked their dogs like this.....I saw a youtube clip with a Husky wearing a Nappy!!!! What sort of life is that? They're a very clean breed and wont crap on their own turf unless they're badly trained and not walked!!!

Looking girl*

Hey lovey looming girl! We are getting an Alaskan Malamute pup soon. Litter is due in one week so 9 weeks to go and we'll be able to choose one! We've waited 3 years to get one. Started our research on huskies but decided mals would be better for us. I don't like all this name calling and people thinking they know best. I guess people are just looking out for you and your dog. Malamute have the same kind of rule, don't let them off lead but I believe huskies are more prone to running off(and mo

I agree with what you are doing with Inca its responsible and safe training If she ever gets out she will know her parameters good job! Im sure everyone elses comments are being taken into serious consideration but I think Inca proved herself to everyone that stereotypes are vicious generalisations
If you are willing to think you know best and that your sibe is different then I pity that poor dog , you are incredibly selfish and idiotic to play russian roulette with her life every day.

@britnyalfonzetti Look, I have comments like this every day 'pitying' my poor dog, telling me I'm selfish, an idiot or worse. Maybe your dogs ignored your calls because they see an opportuinty to run? Inca has that opportunity every day. Sees rabbits and squirrels every day and recalls every single time. I am by no means calling bullshit on the lead theory, at all. I believe other breeds of dogs such as staffies should be kept on leads too, but you can't tar all dogs with the same brush.

Well i hope for your sake your idiotic video doesnt encourage more fools to let their sled dogs off. Or that you will be unlucky enough for her to chase down a rabbit, squirrel or somebodies cat! Maybe even across the fields through a flock of sheep or interestingly across the train line your near to!

@aknak9 and all below. Inca will be two this year and has gotten better off her lead. We walk her every day, at the same fields. She has chased rabbits and squirrels on numerous occasions and comes back to us as soon as she realizes she's not gonna outrun it or it disappears down a hole. I'm not an idiot, I know the typical Sibe advice. We trained her early. Inca never walks further than 10 meters ahead of us. I'll post more videos soon.

No 'dude- Youtube didnt remove it. i just figured it would probably be a waste of time trying to make you understand how breathtakingly foolish and irresposible it is to let a Sib off its lead.
Time itself will do that eventually.
There's always somebody that thinks they can change a Sibs innate nature......

@f5warrior OK. Keep an eye out for a new video. Irresponsible would be letting her off in a crowded park, next to a road. When we let her off, we are in the middle of fields, no one else around. She only has us to distract her. Even if she does see another dog and goes over for a look, as soon as I call or Phil whistles, she does a U turn. She is more obedient off the lead than some other breeds we have come across. We have never lost her. She has never run off.
