Alvaro Castagnet is painting a charming corner in Cadaqués (Spain) in a workshop with EPC, www.epc-artcourses.com. Giving useful advice on how to use colour, don't miss it! great lesson. Completed painting at the end. In 2010 coming again to paint in Barcelona for the first time.

I think the one of the most important factors in learning and indeed teaching painting is understanding that you must first SEE the subject in paint. Look at the landscape as if it is a painting and make your technique convert the actual subject to your vision in paint. Not too many teachers focus on seeing as much as they should. Alvaro is one of the very best water-colour painters in history!

Your technique is extraordinary!!! But, is it something you can teach to someone?? or must the basic talent be there and then deveolped???
