Islamic Terrorism in Nigeria

Nigeria's militant Islamist group Boko Haram - which has caused havoc in Africa's most populous country through a wave of bombings - is fighting to overthrow the government and create an Islamic state.


Its followers are said to be influenced by the Koranic phrase which says: "Anyone who is not governed by what Allah has revealed is among the transgressors".


Boko Haram promotes a version of Islam which makes it "haram", or forbidden, for Muslims to take part in any political or social activity associated with Western society.


This includes voting in elections, wearing shirts and trousers or receiving a secular education.


Boko Haram regards the Nigerian state as being run by non-believers, even when the country had a Muslim president ...

It is not true,The truth is that the Hausas lost election.They failed and were defeated..Becaus the lost the wants to forment trouble by fighting under cover of bokoharam that has been destroyed long ago.The killing of bokoharam was same as killing of youth corpers by northerners after failing election. The truth is that north has been ruling Nigeria through British support since indeoendence except few years.So who impoverished them?They have been controlling the country and who failed who.

Well you have to analyze the history of Nigeria. Christianity is home to many, as well as Islamic peoples its not about blacks killing blacks. It's one belief against another. The same fight most of the world at one point or another had. So yea there will always be killing its about understanding and living with each other. So there is not one countries fault not a fault of anyone's,its a fault in humans unable to accept anything different once we accept differences then peace.

Angry blacks in Nigeria don't concern me. If they die killing one another, they'll die.

Islamic terrorism is Pakistan. If we can deal with Pakistan and put that terrorist country out of terrorist business, we can have a reasonable relationship between the Christian West and the Islamic East. Maybe there will be no passionate love but we can work out reasonable coexistence.
