Korea (8 times) qualified for world cup twice as many times as Japan (4 times), and MORE IMPORTANTLY, Korea's record of matches against Japan brings this discussion straight to the end. 40 WINS, 21 draws, 12 losses. Furthermore, Japan didn't win the Asian Cup the most, Japan, Saudi, Iran each won 3 times - yes, Korea won twice, and has to catch up in this department.
