@TheXenProject I agree, an another good album from Yes is "Closer to the Edge"

I like the concept here a lot. However using the term progression for this concept, is kind of confusing because of the concept of chord progressions. I think that passage would have been a better term to use.
Not trying to be mean, just trying to help with your teaching.

I've spent a lot of time recently writing my own songs, and I've thought about a number of the concepts you're covering here, and come to similar conclusions. But hearing your specific perspective and the way you frame the concepts is helpful, and you seem more knowledgeable about theory than I am. So all in all I'm very appreciative of these lessons, I'll probably watch them all :)

I appreciate you taking the time to explain all of this in depth, and take it seriously. Most people on Youtube joke around and make stupid comments. But whatever hate you have recieved for these videos, ignore it. You're a very smart guy. Keep it up!

These videos needs way more views. They're full of great info I would have never thought of. This is really improving my writing a lot

I think these concepts would be a lot clearer if you used a non-metal progressive band to demonstrate them. Early 'Yes' jumps to mind. The Between the Buried and Me stuff (at least the parts you're using) are so psychotic that they all sound like progressions.
