Squier Precision Special body Mighty Mite neck
GFS pickups with generic rounds. Played through an Orange Crush 35b combo amp. I put it together a few weeks ago and so far havent done any real tweaking but I have to replace these rounds with DRs soon because they sound horrible.

  • what are your thoughts on the amp looking into get 1 just to play pub gigs etc

  • @LittleBuddah118 I dont think it will be powerful enough for a gig to be honest

something between 300-500 watt combo or stack would be better suited

Does not necessarily have to be expensive either

    a 300 watt head and a 2x10 or 4 x 10 cabinet would suffice

  • @yellofury cheers for the info but i decided to get a ashdown 515 mini rig

  • @LittleBuddah118 congrats I hope 100 watts is ample for pub gigs

it sould be if your guitarist and drummer behave

  • Hey yellofury! It's CBFALL! Is this song you're playing on the bass a original or cover? Sounds damn good in my musical ears! :)

  • @cbfall just a jam my friend off the top of my head!!

  • @yellofury they should be fine just wont let them eat sugar so they wont be hyper haha ill order the amp when the bloody rep comes back from their holiday

  • @LittleBuddah118 yellofury has a good point but i use this amp and use with a hartke 4x10, gig with it and it is plenty loud. Holds up in practice w/o the 4x10 however volume is 80% or higher. The 50 or 100 watt that they make now would probably be all you need. These amps are very round punchy and clear. Compare it to something as light look at the ampeg micro stack. 200 watt and sound nice on youtube. haven't played one 1st hand.

  • Need some advice.

I'm planning to buy an Orange cr50bxt but I heard that it has poor low end, what can you tell me about that, would you recomend this amp (I understand that your's is a 35b) over others 50W amps?

  • @DuctTape44 I wouldnt try. 35 and 50 watt amps are great for your bedroom

but when you are competing against guitars and drums you are better off getting a head that is at least 300watts driving a 4x10 cabinet. 500 watts is a good round number to shoot for that can cover most gigs. Line 6 and GK make affordable powerful heads just dont ever scrimp on your amp in a gig setting
