Genius. I. So. Want. This. :D One problem with me is, when I look at the thickness of the book, I become overwhelmed. This way, I wouldn't have to worry about having to read 400 pages.

How often do you read in the dark? It's fairly common for people to be in lit spaces during their waking hours.

Is there an updated one coming soon or is it fairly recent? I read a lot and am thinking about buying a kindle, but wouldn't want to if a new model will be arriving within the next year (books are that bad).

Also, I wish they had Tim Powers' novels on it. Please go to amazon and request!

Yep, and their entire purpose for removing the backlight was to take away the strain for your eyes.
