Simple Gifts is a beautiful melody that sometimes referred to as the Shaker Hymn. It is a tune type whose variations are heard in hundreds of songs. Yang Wei, who is from Shanghai China and now lives in Chicago, is playing a Pipa, a traditional Chinese instrument. I am playing Clawhammer (or Frailing) style banjo. The photos are from the many places my wife and/or I have visited over the past few years.

  • Five stars from me. Very tasteful and played so well. I love it. I'm going to post a video response to this . . . not as clean a version as yours, but same song.
