In a trabeculectomy patient, endoscopic examination reveals vitreous debris and inflammatory material. Dr. Uram performs a vitrectomy to remove infectious material. An endoscopic view beneath the iris shows infectious material dripping from the sclerotomy site.

  • Depends a lot on the onset of the infection, the pathogen involved, how quickly the patient sees the dr once the inflamation has begun and a lot of other different things. There are patients that can recover almost completely and others just dont make it.

  • Are people with this condition blind?
