My water injection kit arrived today. It's a preturbo, boost driven system. Brent Vogl, dudemaaansownrx7, created the kit. I am very pleased with it's simplicity and solid parts.

I show you the solenoid, boost sensor, nozzle and tank.

I will be doing other videos on configuring and operating water injection once my car is running.

  • did you have to add a msd or anything to raise to ignition spark when you added this to your setup. what ecu are you running

  • @DILUSI PowerFC and TwinPower for additional spark :-)

  • ok so whats the point what happens if it goes into the combustion chamber

  • When water goes into the combustion chamber, it reduces pre detonation considerably. Additionally it "steam cleans" your internals so you have less carbon build up that can act like a glow plug and pre detonate the fuel. It's a reliability issue when exceeding 15 psi on pump fuel. Water = reliability. Alcohol/meth = more fuel/power (colder intake temp)

  • im going to be running aux. injection myself. i picked up an alky control kit for methanol, no more detonation for me :)

this is a HUGE piece of equipment for any rotary user to get. this essentially solves the heat issue of the 13B that causes pre-detonation. it also cleans our engines out of the carbon that builds up causing apex seals to get stuck, etc.

  • @rx7fd9782 We should compare and contrast as summer rolls around. I'm doing all water an you meth. I've heard great things about 50/50. I'll post more vids on my results. Stay in touch

  • So big chief how did this all work out? Any reviews to share on success? I've heard great things, curious about buying a kit myself as cheap insurance for the perceived rotary unreliability claims.

I will go single turbo eventually but will be stuck with twins for some time. So heat is an issue and I want to do a few moderate upgrades. Full exhaust system + intercooler + fuel pump upgrade + remap on Apexi ECU etc..

By the way do you have any recommend resources on converting to single turbo?

  • @dgkidek9 ok the idea in the basic is good but you WILL need lot of pressure to itemise the water (gas or diesel)

also for turbo you might want to go external (but i wouldnt bother.why steam?cause it need less water just warm the wter on the turbo and exaust manifold (cooling them in the process inject steam in high pressure fuel injector or such in a specific area of rotor of each .was done previously very aften enropean truck engine maker have it already

  • great kit but I think I would go with eletrical pump... I would think there would be a little more boost lag having to pressurize that tank.

  • where can I also get one of these system

  • where can i get one of these i have a 1987 turbo 2 with bnr stage 1 turbo and all kinds of stuff so i could use this.. thanks

  • @INSONIASXPOWER fuck off you idiot . water/ethanol injection is widely used in many peformance cars for many many miles with no issues.

  • @INSONIASXPOWERYOU DONT KNOKW SHIT FOOL

  • pumpless system i like the sound of that,, how much water does it use ? depending on nozzle is it the same as fuel ?
