When the drugs and alcohol to leave your body and your life, you May meeting internal vulnerability.?????learn how to read and write and lay off the bottle you may have it
I like the way you're realistic about it, you think you'll be better straight away as soon as you stop but it isn't that way, its a day at a time improvement for quite a while. Been 2 months almost for me and I still get that voice in my head saying: 'fuck it let's go to the pub'. But that will only end in getting totally out of it and its back to square 1.
@Feisty1967 Dude I feel for you , hope everything is going well now , since its been a week since your comment. I was "only" 3 days in the anxiaty state, couldn't sleep, irregural heart beat, shaking and not being able to be still. Also really fearing for my sanity.. It's hell, but you'll get through it. Good luck
How do you cope with the shakes and the anxiety? My doctor gave me tablets and they don't do a thing? There must be something wrong with me, cos none of the medications work, I'm desperate.
One medication which helped me through detox was Chlordiazepoxide (librium). NEVER go cold turkey. I have detoxed 12 times now, 2 of which were cold turkey and both of these ended me up in a&e. Request the meds from your doctor.
Very good video. Im 5 months sober now and have found and unbelievable peace with my life without drink. There is no way I could have done it without the brotherhood of A.A. If your reading this and in need of help go to an A.A. meeting today. Just go and sit there you dont need to say a word, just listen. Then go again later that day or the next day , then repeat. Thats all you need to do is take that first step. You will find that it probably will have saved your life.

@DJLunasf,
If you'd follow Don for a while you'll understand that God is a perception. For Don God means having a good conscience.

Cheers for reading the AA "text". What about people who don't believe in God or brainwashing?
