Longhirst Hall Host 2010 EuroPro Golf Competition

The Euro Pro tour is the "future of golf tour" and is recognised as such by the Professional Golfers Association.

Almost 600 players are registered to the tour, playing in 22 tournaments, in the UK and Europe, culminating in the final in Portugal on the Algarve in mid October.

Each event has an entry field of approximately 156 players and is played over 3 days over 54 holes. Total prize money for the season is over £1,000,000 with a minimum prize purse of £40,000 per event.

The Euro Pro Tour is filmed and broadcast by Sky Sports Television and streamed on a number of golf channels around the world, with viewing figures of approximately 7,000,000 in the UK alone.

Longhirst Hall hosted the event and gala dinner on Tuesday 8th June 2010.
