Hopefully this helps people out, I searched for an incredibly long time and couldn't find anything.

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS
**Before you do anything...**
1. Download Minecraft App if you don't have it already
2. Download any texture pack you want
3. Unpack it with UnRarX if it's in .rar format

**Once you do that...**
1. Create a "Minecraft" folder on your desktop
2. Drag the Minecraft Application into the new folder
3. Open up your texture folder (I created the one in the video. Your texture may come in multiple files. You can drag them all in or make a folder yourself.)
4. Make sure there are two subfolders in the texture folder - GUI and Terrain.
GUI is all of the things that you see on your screen like health, inventory, ect.
Terrain is ONLY for the sun and the moon, NOT the terrain.png file.
5. Copy everything in the Texture folder to the Minecraft folder
6. Place Minecraft folder into your applications (Hard drive-Applications)
7. Open up Minecraft
8. Profit!

Feel free to ask if you have any problems!
(The link to the texture pack I used is http://adf.ly/381197/dokustexture )

UPDATE:
This video was made during the Alpha stage of Minecraft. For Beta, these are the updated instructions:
1. Take your texture folder (that you downloaded from the internet, google one if you don't know where to get them) and take all the items out of it.
2. Compress them all into a ".zip" file. (Highlight all of the items and click "compress [number of items]")
3. Click on Finder in the bottom left of the dock to open up a new finder window
4. Click on the house icon with the name of your current computer profile on the left
5. Click on the "Library" folder
6. Open the "Application support" folder
7. Scroll down to the "minecraft" folder and open it
8. Open the "texturepacks" folder
9. Drag and drop your .zip texture pack into the folder
10. Close the window

Now that that's done, open up minecraft.
1. Click on "Mods and Texture Packs"
2. Select the desired texture pack
3. ???
4. Profit!

  • this video sucks. it doesn't tell you how to get a T.P., just shows how to APPLY it.

  • @TheMandalore100

That wasn't the point of the video.

I had a lot of people asking me how to actually apply them, so I made a video for it.

It literally takes like 2 seconds to google "minecraft texture packs", and I don't think hitting "download" is that hard :U

  • @commonlemme wow, thanks! this helped me a lot! but is there a way to uninstall a texture pack? it says that the texture pack that i applied is the default.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • @momoguy101

Basically, you just remove any texture files you put into your minecraft folder.

If you want to be able to turn it on and off, there's a written guide in the description (the updated one) that lets you do that.

  • Hey Thanks but i couldnt help noticing ur epic progress so could you backup your game and send me the restore file please?or make a link to it please reply

  • @dangervideos494

Hey, you know I totally would, but a bunch of creepers attacked my house one night and I lost all my stuff, so I deleted the world a while back :[

I'll hopefully make an updated version of this soon, and you can see one of my new maps on that one :P
