I show you how to make a little ladybird and bumble bee to add to your own cake design. Miniature sugar characters that can be easily used in cupcake decorating too! Enjoy!

  • So cute Lorraine! Most people here call them "Ladybugs" not Ladybirds, so more people will find your cake if you add that to the "tags". I love how you make them!

What do you make your buttercup flowers with?

    Thank you:)

    BOP

  • Cheers! I'll add the tags. The buttercup is made using a blossom cutter and the petals are just flattened a little to make them rounder.

  • This is soooo cute. But not sure what "sugar glue" or "alcohol" products we have here in the US. Would that be syrup or vanilla??

  • Clear alcohol is gin or vodka and the sugar glue is made by mixing Tylopur and water. I've a You.Tube video on how to make that too so you should be able to find it. These are available in the US I'm sure. Thank you for your comments. :o)
