Old historical war tank displaced in Aberdeen Ordnance museum. Video taken on 1998. The classical music is from youtube named ABANDONED by Andrew Scott Foust.
Back in the UK I used to help restore WW2 military vehicles,I know how rare these now are and also how much love and dedication and how many hours it takes to restore and bring one of these back from the dead,to allow them to rot and rust in the open air is a disgrace.
@athaidream what are you seeing in the video that has you so upset? i would love to see all these machines running myself. and i would like to see them inside.
right now im reading "tigers in the mud" Otto Carius talks about his last tank, it was called a hunting tiger. he said the turrent did not turn. does anybody know what kind of tank he was talking about. he said that the barrel had to be lock down for a road march. im guessing it was a tank destroyer of some sort.
@ChukN0rris I'm just saying when it's in a shootout against other tanks the KT is substantially better, from a distance the JP is probably better because it can run/set up somewhere much faster, and considering the germans did engage forma range a lot you could argue the jp is better, but I'd say the KT is the better fighting tank.
I don't think the same gun was on both though, if I remember right they were both 105mm but the KTs was a longer barrel and a little more accurate.
@ChukN0rris It also had much less armor though, and the KT's gun is a little bit better. The KT was also one of the few tanks the Germans used to get into close combat. As far as reliability goes I can't really comment.
@drod103164 he is talking about the 'jagdtiger' they had to lock the gun in a fixed position to transport/driving around.

@EclipsingMomentum Wasnt it the same gun for both?
youre right with the armor of course but its why the JP is reliable and the KT is not
The KT would scare the shit out of me if i was an allied tank comander but the JP is the better tank

What a total disgrace, this place is not fit to be called a museum,it is more like a large scrapyard.
Why are these historic vehicles that people fought and died in not being displayed and treated with the dignity that they deserve.
An appalling waste, the curator should be shot.
