What about power source, does it drain the mp3 players batteries? that little mp3 battery will die after 5 min, cose amp and that bigger speaker needs more power then little mp3 player with low voltage batteries.

When I took apart my headphones I have 3 wires. Which ones do I use? On the power horn there is a one marked positive. Which wire does this one go to. The wires off of the headset are not well coded. There is a silver and the other two have a red strand on one going through it and the other a blue or green strand. And help would be appreciatred... Many thanks.

Hey Chandler. If it works, you did it right. Kinda trial and error. Hard to tell on some wiring which is positive and which is negative. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Hey TheModsled! Thanks for watching. I THINK you can wire the two wires together (RED AND WHITE) and then use the black one for ground. I'm not sure about using stereo cable, haven't been in that situation yet. Let us know if that works in case someone else has the same issue. What kind of speaker did you use?
