The third demo video! The sound demos start about 2 minutes in. Hope this answers a few questions, and be sure to comment if you've got more. I probably won't do another video for awhile, so check out http://www.myspace.com/darkhoundband for more examples of how this amp sounds in a recording situation.

  • This sounds good! What cab are you using?

  • @dcstarrnaj That's an Egnater Tourmaster 412, which usually goes for around $500-$700

  • can it handle low tunings, drop Bb etc.?

  • @jspecialz That has more to do with the guitar you're using. Is it a baritone, a 7-, or an 8-string? Or are you just tuning a standard 6-string down extremely low? A six tuned that low will almost always sound like crap.

  • hey man how did you get that sound at 3:08? i cant find anything like it

  • @davisthurman538 I really don't know. I recorded this video two years ago. I was just messing around with the settings. Keep in mind you're hearing this as it sounds through a microphone about 3 inches in front of the sound cone. Your ears are rarely that close to a speaker, so it'll sound different when you're just playing it out.

  • @didhereallysay it depends on the strings and pickups. I use my 6 string RG with 12-56 strings and it sounds great. I love it. I play it through a 5150 with a tubescreamer, and my other pedals but thats my only effect, and it has sharp, clear tones.

  • @didhereallysay Excellent Thanks!

  • @TheBenlag I would say yes: For these recordings, I never had my amp cranked more than 1/4 of the way up. I'm in an apartment, so I have to keep it relatively low. So what you're hearing in this video is low volume.

  • Being a Solid State amp, can you play at low volumes and still get a good tone even if it's 150 Watts?
