  • it's been 40 years since you imagined it all John, and we are still waiting for people to change. You would have been disappointed if you were here today, your pleas have fallen on dear ears. It's all about money, politicians are the ones who have the power to imagine, but money prevails.so sad John.

  • This man was amazing simply amazing.

  • @onehotminutex I guess then, yeah, it stands on opinion and taste. But soul doesn't mean something that touches the soul through storytelling. "Soul" is a musical genre similar to R&B. They have voices like Aretha Franklin, MJ, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion & Mariah Carey. That genre is about high notes. John Lennon wasn't a soul musician, he was a pop/rock singer with blues and rock & roll influence. Sure, he may touch your soul, but metalheads seem to say that for metal too.

  • @Nancy99999 well... i meant soul as in emotionally provoking or touching. johnny cash for instance had a distinct voice, some will say he wasn't a great vocalist, but his voice and the way he sings is something that evokes the soul and tells a story. not every singer has to be able to hit written notes or be trained. john was an artist. soul music is just anything that u personally like imo. music u like is for u not others.

  • @onehotminutex You sort of contradicted yourself there. When you hit the the notes you have soul in your voice, when you don't there is no soul. So how the hell is your voice soul-ish when you can't hit the notes? If that's so, then Katy Perry & Rebecca Black are good singers.

I admit, Lennon's voice was actually good in Stand By me - you see, he had a soul voice there.

  • @Nancy99999 well what defines singing to you? the notes u can hit? to me singing is about the soul, and soul isn't just rnb music with long notes and vocal acarabats. soul music is any genre, it just touches u.

  • @d00m0racl3 Nope, I'm glad that you understood me.

  • @Nancy99999 please refer to me your definition of "singing" as i thought simply voicing lyrics along with the music was called singing, that he has not a voice that is a pleasant honey drip is quite another thing, he carries the tune well and his voice isn't 1/1000th as bad as many others that are now called "artists". or do i have issues also?

  • Man I wish john lennon was still alive he was a good man

  • @kreeepyy Someone who can't face the brutal truth has issues.

  • @Nancy99999 You have some issues there.
