The Akha are an indigenous community original from Mongolia in constant migration. Som Thone is a young akha. When he was 22 years old he went to study in Vientianne, the capital of Lao. After finishing his studies he started working in the tourist office of Phongsally, the nearest city to his village. We met there and decided to go on this journey together, to his native land. A dreamlike trip tale about the meeting itself.

This is one of the 8 films of "Nomad eyes in Asia", an audiovisual project proposing to inhabitate and connect realities, in an effort of extending the spectrum of understanding inside and between the communities and cultures. Sharing the process of filmaking and joining this to the daily life of the people involved. A trip of 8 months, from Japan till India. By bike, bus, train, walking, hichiking, canoa, ferries, Meeting with different communities, tribes, monasteries, ngo´s and individuals. The meeting, it´s seeds, roots and potentials
