This runs the risk of being the most uneventful video on Youtube, but I need SOMETHING to document finally making some progress on completing at least one of the projects I've tackled!
A length of model tunnel replicating the massive showroom that forms the rolling boulder finale of Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure.
The basic shape is formed of strong wire, over which five foamboard walls are threaded. The interior side of these boards was given a rockwork cave appearance with modrock plaster, textured paint and a bunch of dried roots from a small tree I recently uprooted.
This room will eventually be fitted to a base board, where a winch will wind it back and forth along rails and hopefully pull off the same cool visual effect the real attraction offers.
I don't expect the rotting roots to hang in there for very long though, so to spare my carpets this model is going straight to the bin after I get the lighting and smoke effects fitted for the final video shoot! =)
Are you going to make the whole thing including the indiana jones on the rope
