This approach to watercolor painting is fast and loose as be begins his watercolor lesson with no preconceived idea of the end result. He only knows that he wants to paint Koi.

Cheng-Khee Chee first lays out a half dozen colors onto his watercolor paper. He shows you how to paint so that the watercolor runs and mixes on the paper. While the paper is still moist, you see Chee lift out shapes and add form to the scene, using his left brain to analyze his painting, rationally incorporating design principles and his thorough knowledge of Koi.
