@Haerodiel Nah, circumcision in either sex is the removal of the prepuce - the foreskin in males, the clitoral hood in females. These can (should) both be considered forms of genital mutilation, albeit not the most severe types. You're thinking of the more extreme forms of female genital mutilation, which can involve cutting off the entire clitoris and the labia - and possibly also sewing the vagina shut to prevent sex.
