  • A lot of people forget that JB's music was so dead and forgotten in the shitty ass 80's until Marley came along and started re-introducing it... Back then most of JBs stuff was out of print... it wasn't until the DJs started rediscovering it that Polydor began getting the stuff out of the vaults... We owe guys like Marley a lot !

  • clyde the legend....the girl is fine..she can dance for me all night long

  • @EddieLandsberg Sounds like they needed each other.....But the truth is, the beginning was the original sound, and the recording industry, capitolized on a hot commodity! Not knocking Marley Marl or the others, they understood and respected, the actual treasure. It's called evolution! All the best playa....mmj

  • @mmjals actually in the early to around mid 80s there was a period when jb had fallen out of favor... almost all his stuff was out of print... Living in America was a career revival for him. Marley helped bring back hard core funk into hip hop. Before him, Terminator X and a few others hip hop was more disco pop and cheap drum machines plus the dx-7. It's a scary fact.

  • @EddieLandsberg I disagree but agree with some points. #1 No one would've forgotten about James Brown and the JB's. James was a GIANT, and his music was timeless. Then again, I agree with a point U mentioned, the sampled music did reintroduce there sound, to certain only certain audiances. The DNA in Hip Hop and Rap was these legendary individuals, that's who Marley Marl owes!!!!!!! All the best Homie!

  • The funky drummer... what the hell... he is amazing.

  • "I hate drum solos"

This man just became my latest obsession.

  • @djsk1200 that wasn't racist

  • i just wish that idiot, wouldnt dance lol, marley is a teef, he should be in awe, this man is old, took time to learn his drums, and doesn't have to use a laptop to play music lol
