I think Derek is the best slide player ever. That being said, though, I also think in some songs he overdoes the slide solos, minimizing the fascinating impact he has used to gain such an enormous fan base for a blues player. Too much shredding ruins the pot. Please, no hate responses. I just think in the Allman Bros. Band he has Warren Haynes to balance him out!
