Team Fortress 2 on a Macbook Pro using Bootcamp.

Average FPS = 59

System specs;
15" Macbook Pro SR @ 2.4GHz
Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT 256MB GDDR3
Corsair 4GB DDR2 PC5300 (667MHz)
Hitatchi Travelstar 200GB (7200RPM)
OS X 10.5.1 (Leopard)
Using Bootcamp with Windows XP (32GB)

The settings for the game are set to high at 1440x900. No HDR. Trilinear AF, 4X AA, Motion Blur enabled. (Still looks fantastic!)

A more entertaining run through to show the fluid frame rate.

Video Camera = Sony VX2000

  • of how may gigs is your partition? thanks

  • 50GB

  • will amount of memory in the partition affect gameplay?

  • Try it yourself. If you install it too close to the inside of the platter it will affect performance on anything. (The merry go round spins fastest on the outside)

  • can u play this on the smaller macbook?

  • Unfortunately the regular macbooks cannot handle the graphics.

  • @evilmamaluigi evilmamaluigi=dick

  • @m0d3s7m1k3 mine can. on med settings-i have the black macbook (2.4 ghz porcessor) 20 -40 fps! (its 2008)

  • ROFL nice killing with pyro!

  • MAC=FAIL

  • must get really hot. mine burns on youtube

  • im not fussy with fps i have to put it on dx8 mode with everything on lowest and i get 20fps and i think its 100% playable

  • Can you do this on a normal Macbook?

  • For frame rate.

Below 30 the gameplay is usually strutty and uncomfortable to play for me. Above 60 the gameplay is smooth and comfortable to play. Number basically shows how many frames or how smooth the game is doing.
