@MissLaLa2013 We all have freedom of choice. But if we were trained to deal with our natural born curls, words like "unmanageable" wouldn't be in our vocabulary because we'd treat our hair like curly hair instead of approaching it from a relaxed mindset. If I approached my natural/transitioning hair from a relaxed mindset, I'd give up. Natural hair care is easier than relaxed in my transition because I've been trained to treat my whole hair as natural. So it's more of perception.

@MissLaLa2013 LOL It's possible. We just did the same thing with different textures. I just washed my hair, added leave in, and let it air dry. I slapped on 3 headbands, and I have a curly TWA puff. I BC'd yesterday. So, both of us washed and go with no problem.

Love your vid. I think the fact that we have the internet where we can see other women with natural hair--that are proud of it--also is a reason why more women will go natural. My hair hass been perm-free for about 11 yrs and I'm loving my fro'. I can't wait til it gets longer like these two women I've seen with puffy, shoulder length hair.

@WynterLioness Eleven years? I wonder what your experience was like? Please post up growth photos! I can't wait for shoulder length, because I can do larger twist outs. I have 5 inches now, but it's so thick and it shrinks.

@AnnNoire I stopped perming my hair when I was 15-16yrs old, then grew locs, and now I have an afro. I'll see if I can find pics. Your hair looks a lot longer here. Looks good and I agree that we can do more styles. Yeah, the shrinking thing can be irritating. The only way I manage is to either twist/braid or put it in a clip right away after washing. What kind of shampoo do you use?

@WynterLioness I was transitioning when I did this video (14 inches relaxed hair.) Then, I used Elasta QP Conditioning Creme Shampoo. Now, I alternate between Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Shampoo, or watered down Kinky Curly Come Clean.
