I admire what you do! I am always saving the honey bees that lamd in my pool so they do not drowned. I have saved about 40 so far.

How do you recover the hair clips later?

@soggybuddha After they re-attach the comb, cut the hair clips out a few weeks later.

Complete newbie here interested in doing a TBH in Costa Rica
@0:28 "It's getting a little short so we're going to have to resupply the honey". What did you mean by resupplying the honey? Also, any easy tips on recognizing brood from honey from pollen?

@edwinaucostarica Resupply, means feed them back some honey. Usually in a jar with grass in it so they don't drown.
Pollen is easy to identify from honey. Your first two trips or so to your hive will teach you that. Pollen is colored and never capped. Honey is capped, or if not yet capped, it looks like a liquid. Brood is always tan capped.
