Jet Baker - Outgrow Big Bro - Texas Cananbis Crusade May 2 2009

May 2 2009, Austin TX - The second annual Texas Cannabis Crusade sponsored by Texas NORML and Outgrow Big Bro. The event started with breakfast tacos, music and sign making at Zilker Park. At high noon the police escorts arrived for our march to the Texas State Capital. Over 2000 people marched to the capital where there was a 4 hour rally on the steps. I was honored to be asked to perform. I performed 5 songs from my Pot Patriot CD to be released July 4 2009. It was thrilling to perform on the steps of the state capital for the enthusiastic crowd and assorted citizens visiting the capital that Saturday.
After the rally the event continued back at Zilker Park until 10:00 with music, food, letter writing, a cannabis carnival and a MacGyver bong building contest. Letters were collected for the Texas Legislators, Texas NORML met some new members and fun was had by all. Be sure to attend the Texas Cannabis Crusade next year.
