Another Day In Paradise - Phil Collins Cover

I was on my way to the underground station after work a few days ago during rush hour, there was a beggar lying on the side of the pavement ahead of me. No one really took much notice of him, and as I got closer, I noticed that he was quite young, in his early 20s. His head was shaved and he had a big open wound on his forehead. The weather was getting chilly coming up to Christmas, and most people on the street had their scarfs or coats on, but this beggar was lying there on cold concrete with just a thin blanket baring his shoulders. His right arm was amputated from the shoulder down and his left leg was missing too. For those of you who've watched the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire', would probably have a good idea what had happened to him. Some of the people on the street were talking happily about the coming holidays but there was no joy on his face, his eyes were filled with sadness and despair. That image has been on my mind for days, it was quite impossible to forget that expression.
While many of us will be enjoying Christmas with friends and family, surrounded by food and presents, please spare a thought for the poor and the needy.
I don't mean to upset anyone or cause any discomfort, just want to raise some awareness for the less fortunate, because compare to them, many of us are really living in paradise. Peace on Earth and goodwill to all men.

i would say you rock but that would be an understatement. my friend you gave new hights to an already truly heavenly tune. to play an instrument these days is something we rarely see. to sing at the same time is even rarer. to sound gorgious all together is a needle in a haystack the size of a galaxy. you almost made me cry.
