  • nice video... that was very easy. However, I like to use the LAMP stack from the repositories. that way updates and patches are applied with the rest of the system.

  • yeah true, the automatic updates are an issue....should have mentioned that. ah well, unexperienced users probably won't be setting up web servers anyway. ^ ^

  • This has it's use... like if you want to setup a quick LAMP stack in a distro without a LAMP metapackage... for testing a website you're working on, etc... No fiddling around with init scripts and /etc configs.

    I suppose uninstalling is as simple as deleting the folder.

  • Yeah just remove the stuff in /opt and it's gone.

    You can use the tab button in terminal, to finnish the path to the directory or file..
