nice video... that was very easy. However, I like to use the LAMP stack from the repositories. that way updates and patches are applied with the rest of the system.

yeah true, the automatic updates are an issue....should have mentioned that. ah well, unexperienced users probably won't be setting up web servers anyway. ^ ^

This has it's use... like if you want to setup a quick LAMP stack in a distro without a LAMP metapackage... for testing a website you're working on, etc... No fiddling around with init scripts and /etc configs.

I suppose uninstalling is as simple as deleting the folder.

Yeah just remove the stuff in /opt and it's gone.

You can use the tab button in terminal, to finnish the path to the directory or file..
