  • did you win your leaf? If not do a K20 swap to your Civic and make 1000 horsepower and help pull this train out.

  • @walle000 Hahah you must watch my channel to know that I have a civic! Yeap but I'd still have the traction problem.. I do have train horns on my Civic .. hornblaster HB4H !!

  • thats alot of engine! wonder how much it could pull

  • @pardomtlca I could pull 10s of thousands of tons of freight.

  • @pardomtlca *it* could pull

  • HOW MANY THOUSAND HP?

  • @576418221sds 6 locomotives, so about 18,000 horsepower, maybe as much as 26,400 horsepower if each loco has a 4400HP engine (like the Dash 9).

But these engines don't sound to be working that hard, a lot of wheelslip is going on in this vid

  • Please vote up my drivenissanleaf video! You can make the difference of whether I win the car and you get a test drive, or not!

  • are we seriously arguing about gasoline vs. electric cars on a video of a train getting out of a snow bank?

  • Wow, snow must have glued it together, lot of engines on there, that would be sweet to watch

  • That's interesting 6 engines can hardly move it. So they rock it back and forth, like we do a car.

  • i think chuck had too much cocaine

  • Thier rocking it back and forth!

  • @danwat1234 from the sound of the engine i'd say it's an EMD 645E3 turbocharged engine with 3.3k HP in every loco (so 19.800 HP in total). the same engines are in SD-40 locos (and variations). Croatia (my country) also has a small number of EMD locos (designated HZ 2063 class in Croatia) which are built like SD-40 models and have the same engine (their weight is reduced however to 120 tons).

  • trains are cool

  • I don't understand why the engineer didn't lay some sand and give it full throttle when he was finally moving. It's not like he was going to break a knuckle or anything. To break out of snow, you gotta hit it hard. And I mean HARD. That's something that city people just don't get.

  • more horsepower! break out the propane!

  • @danwat1234 wheelslip on a lokomotive? wth?

  • that v plow is stuck like a screw, get er in the spring!!
