@crackcocaineisgood Your username reminds me of my 3 years of unemployment. I had agorophobia and did nothing but hang out with a bunch of drug addicts and alcoholics all day and night.
I always loved geology, physics and palaeontology, so I finally decided to get off my ass and applied to a University.
I got a palaeontology degree and it changed my life beyond all recognition.
Science gives you windows of beauty with which to see the world.
Stay in school, kids.

@ScienceWars Lawrence krauss is the man. ive always enjoyed science and physics. after i watched the universe from nothing lecture i was sold on him.
He's my favourite phycisist by far!

The last words of the announcer, after Krauss closed, were to ask the audiences continued tolerance of "certain special procedures" traveling in and exiting the building and the laboratory site. Is anyone aware of what these generally were? I notice this lecture took place a short while after the attacks on the Trade Center and Pentagon. If there is an account holder on this site who is familiar with the security procedures I'd be glad to know what they are out of simple curiosity

When was this talk given? Sounds like it was before Dark Energy was discovered.

@iasedu I'm pretty sure he is talking about the end of stars, not the universe. All condensed matter and energy is doomed by gravity.
