its very weird seeing paul there, like he in terms of inpact to music, was the greatest single artist there that day. i think elton, queen, the who and bowie also come quite close. but paul is just that much more legendary. however queens performance is untouchable. beyond amaizing

@kahuna3901 It was also the first time McCartney performed on stage in over 5 years, as he had stopped touring after he was arrested in Japan in january 1980 and the tour was cancelled. Him being at Live Aid was BIG!. I had only discovered the Beatles in 1979 when I was 12, so this was really the first time I got to see him live (albeit on tv). I waited all day and then got all nervous, 'cause Paul was due to go on in London, but the tv kept showing Madonna, who was playing in Philadelphia. :D
