i have the exact same lens but it stops to a minimum of f2.8 help me i want to enable f1.8 for low light purpose pleeease

@DevesterOner FD lenses have to be mounted to an FD mount to change aperture with the aperture ring... Otherwise it is wide open... He has a macro extension attached to the lens which is why he can change the aperture like that...

It will be better if you have taken images with and without the extension tube to see the difference.

Which one do u have, EF or FD version? FD has aperture ring for manually adjustment but EF version does not have it.

It's FD 50mm F/1.8 lens + extension tubes (EF mount) ----->>> An EF macro lens - that's what I meant!! :)
