@fluffyviolet I know a polygamist group and they are pretty happy with each other. It's two guys and two ladies and they don't come off as greedy. (It could be a facade for the public, but I think after 3 years that would have become more apparent. )
I'll agree that in this religion, it does revolve around greed and also power.

If it were a group of abused men who were controlled and oppressed, I don't think people would consider them brave. If they had similar conditions and spoke out against them, I think most people would wonder why they didn't act sooner.

shame is only the unhappy will speak out. look at business rating sites; most of the comments are from unhappy people. for every unhappy commenter there is >>10 moderate or happy people.

Give them an inch and they'll take a mile. Three to eight wives aren't enough . Some guys still want a child to rape.

this all stems from human desperation to be "saved". Oh lead me lead me, yea but there are conditions in being led, lust, greed, abuse, dishonor, perversion, insanity. THINK FOR YOURSELF PEOPLE

No, I don't know her. I just thought it was horrible taking her family and destroying her memories. She deserves a lovely thing :(

oh my.... what a lovely thing to do for a person, did you know her too?

I've looked all over for this lady and can't find her. I don't know how long ago this documentary was made, but if anyone knows Elizabeth, I'd like to restore her family photos for her.
