We mic'd Wowie's trumpet with a Green Bullet, through a wah pedal then to an Ampeg JetII tube gtr amp.

Amp mic'd w Royer R122 ribbon. Room mic'd w Lawson L47MKII condenser. Universal Audio 216 tube mic pres.

  • interesting signal chain. I've been using a re-amper and a direct box with pedals in between to achieve similar effects

  • @FCO0710 yes, that's possible, too. But I like to record the sounds as I hear it in my head, less options at mixdown. less rooms for mistakes re-interpreting the intention.

    Sorry for the confusion, I'm not re-amping the original signal, I'm running a microphone through a preamp and re-amper then the pedals, and recording that sound live much like you are. Just a different way of going about it!

    Anyway, cool to see others doing similar things
