RMN Bacolod Kasama Para sa Masa: A Help for Typhoon Ondoy Victims

It was on September 26, 2009, when the Philippines was devastated by typhoon "Ondoy". Many Filipinos were greatly affected specifically those who resides in the northern and central part of our country.

In this regard, this RMN has launched with your generosity, Kasama Para sa Masa: A Help for Typhoon Ondoy Victims, by extending help to them in a little way.

We started to collect donations in form of cash and in kind (clothes, food, medicines, etc.) last September 28. That donations greatly helped them and highly appreciated by us who have served as bridge.

Last October 7, 2009, the said donations was officially turned-over by RMN to Rev. Fr. Aniceto Mau Buenafe of Diocese of Bacolod at RMN Broadcast Center. Program Director El John Castaño led the rite as well as Odette Pomperada and Edmund Flores of Caritas Bacolod.

A total of 700 sacks of used clothing and shoes, 10 sacks of rice, 400 cartoons of noodles/sardines, 3 boxes of dried fish and P14,705 cash donations were collected in a weeklong appeal on-air and a caravan held last September 27, 2009.
