  • Hey Scotty. As i told you earlier i own a 6th gen Honda Civic.Few days ago my thermostat housing was leaking. When i opened it the rubber gasket was not in a good shape.I bought a used one which is in perfect condition and replaced it with the old one.Just after i replaced it the coolant/water was leaking but very very slowly. And now it's not at all leaking.Specially when the car is at normal temperature it wont leak. What i want to ask that will it leak when the car's engine temperature stays cold

  • @RapShap perhaps, heat makes things expand. Me, I'd reseal it with permatex The Right Stuff, it always works.

  • how do you do this yourself? do you let all the fluids run to the drain or what?

  • @rehtardeudpossum I put em in containers and take em to the recycling station, that's law in most places.

  • Hey Scotty, I've got a 2002 mitsubishi triton dual cab, petrol (yes I'm australian) would you be able to tell me where the thermostat would be? Thanks mate, love your show

  • @bradybackbonerider they don't sell that model here, but the V6 mits engines of that year here have the thermostat on the bottom left of the engine behind the 90 degree angle thermostat housing where the radiator hose snaps onto the engine there.
