LTD and EMX are the boondoggles that take money without representation from business owners to subsidize money losing transportation boondoggles. This arena is a well managed, paid for project. It is out of touch to view the dollars being spent on this arena as dollars that could go to academics. Way out of touch. Go ducks.

The media keeps calling this a 200 million and 227 million dollar project. Actual associated costs are nearly 330 million. That 330 number also does not count all the LTD EMX and EMX redo money they are spending on Franklin. The arena district concept is a boondoggle. Expect huge tax breaks for elite green high rise buildings on parcels near the arena. The sustainability fat cats will have a field day. The Oregon universities have a estimated .7 billion dollar maintenance backlog.
