Restore iphone 4 after restore to factory setting

Hey Tommy, I have an iphone 4 with ios 5.0.1 and i jailbroke with redsnow to hacktivate it so i could use it as an ipod because i do not have the sim card for the carrier its locked to.

Now when i try and get my imessage to work it wont turn on, so i want to restore it but i keep getting either error 21 or 1600.

Do I have to use a different ipsw? Or the one itunes downloads?

- Custom firmware can't be restored on a device with DFU Mode. The software of the iPhone isn't patched. Using iREB, sn0wbreeze, redsn0w, or PwnageTool, you need to enter a pwned DFU Mode. During that process the software gets patched and the custom firmware should run without any problems.

You have to put your device into the DFU mode and not into recovery mode

hello mate,my iphone was locked on at&t network,ios 4.0 version, and i wanted to reset all setting but when i go to Setting>General>Reset,there are no other resets options except 'Reset Home Screen Layout', so what can i do to get them all..or reset my all settings?and how can i remove the apps from home screen whose provisioning profile has expired?can u help me?or do u have any related videos??

@gurl2302 is your phone locked or unlocked? if your phone has not been jailbroken or unlocked you can restore to factory setting, setting - general - reset all settings

I have a question, maybe you can help me. If I'm at version 4.3.3 and I restore my phone, does it force me to update my phone?

@killafadeaway24 tmobile 3g does not work on the at&t iphone, you can only use edge. save your battery life and turn 3g off
