@jocell202, I've watched and read up about the war on cold fusion and am beginning to come around. as an engineer, the theories behind it are less important to me than whether the thing actually works or not. If it works, let the physicists come up with a theory later.

It wouldn't surprise me if energy companies are keeping this quiet, the number of patents they own to prevent new energy sources being exploited is shocking. I'll wait to see if this reactor sells but will keep an open mind

The whole reason fossil fuel is so popular today is because it's profitable. And it's profitable because it's inefficient and difficult to get.

If one confiscated all of the money in the fossil industry, subsidies and cartel trading profits included, it would pay for clean electricity and synthesized liquid fuels for everyone.

But it would also bankrupt half of senators, and most of their biggest campaign contributors.

So if you sought to imply that anyone who doesn't agree that this is a real and feasible technology must want the earth to be a toxic swamp, I disagree.

Even if it can be made to produce net energy, it's irrelevant to that question because we already have technology which could do that without utterly despoiling the earth, and we choose not to use it. It isn't covered up, there's no conspiracy, people are just too ignorant and governments are just too corrupt.
