Hello ctmale1956. I am pleased that you took the time to leave a kind word on this video. It is not the first time that I hear of the RCA pressing of "50 Years of Music That America Loved Best". This recording seems to be iconic. I'm sure someone has a copy of it and is capable of digitizing it. I hope that that is the case.

This song was brought back to the public about 1947...my old friend, Kurt Webster, We both worked at WBT. He was known as the mIdnight mayor of Charlotte. they credited Kurt with the revival of the Ted Weems Orchestra. He was heard from Kennebunkport to Cuba. Perry Como had been with the Weems orchestra...he had homes in NC, Fla, Long Island.. This I can't confirm...the word was Perry wanted to get the Weems orchestra back..Kurt played requests..each night he would play it several times.
