Midgets have four cylinder 184 cubic inch motors while sprint cars have eight cylinder 410 small blocks. Sprint cars must weigh 1400 pounds and have 800 to 900 horse power motors. Midgets have around 350 horsepower and have to weigh 900 pounds. Midgets run without wings always. Sprint cars can run with or without a wing. Hope this helps ya.

easiest way to put it is sprint cars are larger with more horsepower, but midgets are lighter so they have a similar power to wieght ratio and run similar speeds. a common misconception is midget drivers move up into sprint cars, but thats not the case as midgets are reffered to by many drivers as more challenging to drive and even faster on some tracks.
