@moocowmurphy Whoa Nellie!  Even I'M not stupid enough to get into an argument on YouTube about whether or not Jesus is a fictional character! No offense, but I did say FICTIONAL characters, and enough people in the world believe Jesus is real and always has been that I'm not gonna risk pissing them all off. If you follow a religion that does not recognize Jesus (such as Islam, Buddhism, Shintoism, Scientology) , I apologize. I'd just prefer not to get into a holy war on YouTube.

I remember being really little and seeing a Green Giant ad with the Giant being a real person and I was afraid of it for some reason but when the giant was a cartoon I wasn't. must have been real early 70's or maybe late 60s.

Sad to see so few of the old style Green Giant ads here on YouTube, especially considering that it's one of the most successful and longest running series of ads in TV history. YouTube has three of them, while TVParty has another one from the mid-'60s. The three most recognizable fictional characters in history are Superman, Santa Claus and him (probably in that order).
